What Is ASTM Standards?
ASTM Standards are procedures for testing and classification materials when they are produced. These materials have been treated and meet standards for shipping overseas. These standers are instrumental in the evaluation and testing of the physical and chemical properties of a wide range of wood products. What is ASTM Standards? They are wood standards including the Terminology, standard practices, specifications, and testing methods for the wood and wood products.
At Industrial Crating Pack & Services we use the ASTM Standard of lumber 15(IPPC-ISPM 15).
The lumber needs to be heat-treated for the crates we make that are shipped overseas. The wood is treated so if any pests are living in the wood they cannot be reestablished in a new area. If new pests are introduced into new areas/countries this can cause economic and environmental. The material is marked with a stamp that shows how the wood was processed.
As the ASTM standards are met in the material, we buy we are able to make crates that can ship overseas. Overseas shipping requires the material to be Heat treated and certified. We have the proper stamp and certification to make the crates. We purchase material from credible material distribution companies that are in Phoenix Arizona.
Industrial Crating Pack & Services is here to help with all your crating needs! We are here, material purchased under the ASTM Standards, ready to make the crates that you need.
Towards the end of the year, times get very busy! We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! It is that time of year to be thankful for what we have!
